Welcome Back!

Last time you were here, you were looking to help vulnerable children and families. Your support can save and change lives.

Anne Lynam Goddard has personal experience of drought in Africa. In the mid 1980s, she was a young aid worker based in Kenya. She was also a first-time mother of a three month-old baby.

On a trip to a refugee camp, accompanied by her son, Anne came face-to-face with the terrible reality of drought, and of the devastating impact it has on families and children.

In this recent interview, while assessing the impact of yet another drought in East Africa, Anne reflects on that journey she made over 30 years ago – an experience she has never forgotten.

In a visit to a sponsored child’s home in Kenya, ChildFund International president Anne Lynam Goddard learns from Iria’s family how they have benefited from their son’s enrolment in ChildFund’s sponsorship program. Iria attends school, sleeps under a donated mosquito net and has access to clean water.
